04 Apr Toni and Lindsay, Aberdeenshire
Toni and Lindsay were clearly made for each other. She is Toni and he is Lindsay. I know. Perfect, eh?! Toni and I were desk buddies at Grays School of Art and I remember hearing about the relationship beginning back in the final year of university. It was wonderful to be invited back to this part of the country for the wedding 5 years on.
I was technically off duty but, of course, did still sneak my camera in. With their photography in the capable hands of Christopher Currie, it wasn’t necessary but I’m so sad I didn’t take more pictures (I was having too much fun instead). But it was SUCH a beautiful day! Honestly, I could rave about it and describe everything in great detail … but really, you just had to be there!
It was one of those incredible, hazy, foggy days and Meldrum House Country Hotel was bathed in ethereal light. Toni may as well have stepped right out of a glamorous 1950’s film set, and her talented bridesmaid, Jess from The Ricketty Desk, had done wonderful work on all the stationery and table decorations.
Of course, in true Scottish tradition, all was finished up with a fantastic, breathtaking ceilidh. Now, I know what you’re going to say: every wedding should be personal to the couple and unique and whatnot … but seriously, EVERY wedding should have a ceilidh. They just should!
On a final note, Toni is herself a photographer! For Aberdeen weddings and portraits, have a look at Artemis.
Oh, and you recognise the little boy? That’s Benji, son of Mr and Mrs Leech, who’s Wedding Day After I photographed last year.
