23 Apr I love rainbows…
I love rainbows.
The content of this post may not seem to fit the title particularly well, but allow me to explain.
Whilst in Shetland, tutoring my friend, Alex, on the basics of photography, we set ourselves a photographic brief to practice our skills on. The theme was rainbows.
I love rainbows. They mean hope. Assurance. They’re really a staggering display of colliding weathers battling it out and producing, just as a side effect, a really beautiful work of art. The element of chance, fleeting moment, colour, LIGHT … these are all things photographers thrive on, which maybe explains why I’m so drawn to them.
Anyway, in this photographic brief, I chose to take a slightly different interpretation of the theme, focusing on the shape and pattern of rainbows, the idea of repeating lines and of colours laying side by side.
