30 Sep Photographing Women
I’m so excited about this post! It’s been a growing passion of mine to photograph women for quite some time now. There is something so special about seeing a woman confident and enjoying being herself. Our society doesn’t offer many chances for a woman to simply say “I like being me and I think I’m fab”. There is so much pressure to focus on our flaws, so I LOVE the potential of a photo session to be a part of something completely the opposite – something that simply celebrates her beauty, inside AND out! Hopefully this will become a defining mark of my work in the future.
My amazing friend, Ms H, offered to be my first beautiful model for a boudoir shoot. A gorgeous girl, who loves her baths, I knew we had to work that into the shoot, and I thought it would look great to use lace, ruffled up like bubbles.
She’s also a big fan of Gustav Klimt and has this beautiful, elegant painting, and a really cool tattoo on her lower back, so they both had to feature too.
This was really incredibly brave, considering it was my first shoot of the kind, let alone how big a deal it is to pose naked! But she was amazing and completely relaxed into it, so thank you so much, Ms H!
